Meet councillors Claire Kidman and Matthew Packer until recently I had no idea who they were, but I needed someone to witness a document and elected officials were on the list
So 1st I wrote to Packer and I got no reply, then I wrote to Kidman and she was only to please to come around and sign and a date was set.
A quick check a few days before and we are all still go. Then a bit more of a check around 12:00 and where are all still go.
Based on this I pay nearly £250 to get the formal copies of the documents with submission numbers sent and arrange all the documents ready for signing.
16:00 comes around and Kidman emails saying an emergency has happened and she must cancel. So I ask if we can rearrange.
After several weeks of silence, I followed up stating I was unhappy with her behaviour and an automatic response was received.
The only reason I contacted the councillor was there was no one else to sign the documents other than a notary public. So my position is that I have to find the £150 for them to witness or let the application lapse. In the end, I managed to get the cash together.
As the councillors are members of a party, then such disreputable behaviour should be of interest. Well, not the Labour Party, if it is activities carried out in their role as an elected official. What other reason would 90% of the people have to contact a councillor?
